My favorite
books are either the Percy Jackson series, the Delirium series or the Birth
Marked and its series. All of these books are exciting and fun and something
that you can get lost in and forget about anything happening outside if it. I
enjoy fantasy and realistic fiction. I also enjoy futuristic book and
dystopia’s.
A few days
ago I finished a book called The Drowned City’s. It took place in a dystopia
future in the ruins of America. And it was about a girl who only had one arm
because the other was cut off by soldiers when she tried t escape the drowned
city where her father, a peacekeeper abandoned her mother and her during the
war. After her mother died and she decide to escape she ran into the soldiers
but was saved by a young boy named Mouse . The ran to a village were a doctor
took them in and convinced the village to let them stay even though she was a
leave of war. When one day her and mouse went into the woods and they found a
beast. It was called a half-man, a monster created for war. Made of human and
animals DNA together to make an almost unstoppable beast. They believed it was dead and tried to take its teeth to
sell but I woke up. When it took Mouse hostage for the medicine it needs to
survive after being attack by soldiers the girl runs back to the doctor for the
medicine. There were soldiers in the village though. They forced her and the
doctor to fix the men injured. When she did and everything was okay she had an
idea. There is a pill she made that calls cywolves, An intelligent mix of wolf
and coyote that has the brain and thinking of a human, and they escape but the
doctor and mouse head back to try and save the village and the doctor is dead
and Mouse captured. After that she convinces Tool, the half-man to go save
mouse with her since she saved his life so he owes her. At first he refuses but
when she leaves h finds himself following her and saving her from a group of
cywolves that had been following her. After a long journey the end up at the
Drowned City’s and they sneak in thanks to her. When the army spots her and the
half-man they set up a trap to capture them using Mouse as bait. After being
captured the Army leader wants to make a deal. If they co-operate, than she
will live as long as Tool with fight. When they start injuring Mouse, Ocho one
of the men she saved killed the leader and freed Tool. Tool killed all of the
guard and the rest of the army escaped into the woods to make a life for
themselves. But Tool stayed behind to fight and try and rule the drowned
city’s.
